Anyone else ever take note that the human Herculoids were beating aliens and robots with laser weapons with a just a shield and slingshots?

One of the great classics. So old it even predates ME! Great macho Space Conan melodrama, blow-em-up fun.

Hanna-Barbera was great for that stuff. Thundarr was one of my favorites too!

Thundarr was a tremendous hit around my region when it came out. Never mind the obvious light-saber ripoff. All that Jack Kirby-inspired production and character design and just the thrill of watching the main characters gallop their way across a ruined America millennia in the future. The dialogue was wonderfully bombastic and made for easy quoting. And yeah, the sound-design was also somewhat memorable. Tundarr was Ruby-Spears' big hit at the time. To think they followed that up with...Alving and the Chipmunks.
Also, Dat Split Moon.

The white thing under it's chin? I always thought it was a beard. Yes, the dragon has a goatee. Deal with it!!

LOL yeah, not sure about the "horns", and I always figured Igoo to be made of stone...or maybe clay?
