Heavy breathing as the young rook made the jump. Caius managed to get away from the lurker, Kaiku and Kuiskaus latching onto the amber rook. "We made it..." coughed the rook, the exhausting chase finally over as the lurker screetched from the other side of the rocky formation.
Caius breath stopped as he noticed a crack on the ground he held onto, thoughts swirling through his mind. What now? What should he do? Without another thought, the rook grabbed both pups, swinging them onto the saver area.
With a smile, Caius fell as soon as the rocks cracked away. Falling, the rook got swallowed by the darkness, his sight going blurry...
