If necessity is the mother of all invention, then the Dragon Cowl was made by the angry stepmother of revenge. The Jern fought a bloody war. When their neighbors and more than often tormentors, the Daq attacked them full on, they had no choice. They fought hard and were able squeeze out survival but at a deadly cost. In the last days of the war the Daq unleashed the Fire Snakes. The dragons that laid waste to the lands and oceans. The Jern did what they could to win and lost most of their people and culture in the process. But this did not stop them from finding revenge. When they learned the true way of slaying the dragons they struck back, hard. Wiping as many out as they could and then wearing their skin as clothing. One of the most harsh things about the Grand Fire Snakes was their need for burned flesh to eat. The broken down protein from fire scorched meat helped their weakened digestive system, so they burned what they ate. The two halves of the jaw sat apart and when touched they created a heat that could build and send jets of flame forth with opposite streams of saliva. A side affect of wearing the skin of the felled beasts was a constant chemical reaction as the two halves of the jaw touched. But the wearers loved the effect.

The teeth collar is brilliant, I love the way they interlock like a zipper. This is an awesome idea complimented by an awesome sculpt and paint. Thanks for the inspiration.
