Description I have made a board game, "The Golden Compass Clue". Inspired by Philip Pullman's "the Golden Compass, and based on the Parker Brother's game of Clue. There are cards for each Character, Weapon and Location, as well as Special cards, a game board, figurines for each weapon and character, a die and an Alethiometer.

The Alethiometer is used as a pointer/flicker, so it only has one needle. It was constructed from an embroidery hoop, Sculpey Clay and metal washers and gears, all spray painted gold. The face was taken from the book’s cover and printed on photo paper. The needle was part of a clock. It took a bit of searching and testing to make the needle spin smoothly, but in the end I found a perfectly sized nail and a brass nut to rest on top and weight it down.
