I mean in a battle point of view.
Garvatnula is in the "rarely-used" tier, but is a powerful one, that is there simply due to his typing weakness. He's fast, and powerful, despite terrible defences type wise and stat wise.
Ariados...has nothing. he is slow, frail, a typical bug poison with nasty weaknesses, and poor offensive typing. (Never used tier btw).
He looks cool enough. But man, the thing is useless, I'd rather use Magikarp, seriously.

yeah... Gen V pokemon doesn't exactly have that many pokemon (except legendaries) that can be considered as overpowering anyways
i really hope they can make Gen VI an improvement on not only the pokemon design, but also their battle prowess
