Glad I can help!
My husband is the one who usually makes the bikini tops. I'm usually too busy making jewelry or miniature doll maille to have time to work on the larger pieces. All the ones he's worked on are on his DA page - [link] Maybe you can get some ideas from those as well.
Good luck on your bikini top! And I love your metal works. My dream is to learn how to be a blacksmith so I can make full suits of armor.

It's just E 4-in-1 with HP 3-in-1 trim. ^_^ Not hard at all!
I plan on seeing if I can't bang one of these out to sell at the Fairie Fest - I'll post it unassembled so you guys can see how I put it together.

It's mostly just patience - Not a whole ton of talent, more of plain pigheaded-ness.

Ya, but the talent is to make it look good, and you are good at that.!

Not really - You just need the patience, and you'll build up some nice calluses over time.
I actually learned all the chainmaile stuff I know from the internet and personal experimentation! I can toss some links at you if you'd like. ^_^

It IS really comfortable - I'm thinking of altering my 6-in-1 top to reflect this pattern. It would be a few hours of annoying fiddly work, but I think it would be worth it.

I think it would be worth it in the end, if it makes it more comfy then it'll pay off in the long run.

Isn't it great? He ususally works on the larger items (although I'm getting into bras as you can see) and I do the smaller stuffs. The unit-making is something nice and meditative to do while I think of designs or even in the car.

It's really great! I started out doing all the bigger stuff but as I got him more into making stuff he sort of took over(mostly armour) and I got more time to worry about jewellery and harder weaves.

Exactly - It's great when the guys want to help out. Makes me feel kinda bad for the other ladies who mostly knit and stuff. Their guys can't help out!
I say "mostly" because I knit and crochet and all that stuff, too. He doesn't complain because he gets fitted winter gear, slipper - All that good stuff. ^_^
