Haven't seen you post anything in a while so I thought I'd ask how things were going for y'all.

Things are going well but a bit insane. I've changed the name and focus of my business to traditional jewelry/metalwork (although I still do chainmaille for the Ren Fest), my husband's first novel will be out late spring/early summer and he's working on finishing up his gemology degree while he cuts the stones for my work. Lemony is four now, and can read and even write a bit. She's also totally obsessed with dinosaurs. I've been considering coming back to dA, but I was a bit disheartened because every time I'd post a new piece of work, multiple people would fav it, then copy it and post it with a link to where they're selling it for half price on Etsy. And the copies were usually horrible quality, at that. I could see the bad closures in the thumbnail. It was enough to actually hurt my sales, so I've been a bit turned off of showing my work to other artists, to be honest.

Oh wow, yea I can see how keeping your work off here would help, horrible copycats suck. Congrats to your husband on his book, what's it about? Reading and writing already, that's impressive, sounds like she's gonna be one of the smart ones in her class.

Your chainmaille is amazing. Any tips for getting nice tight closures on the rings? Most of mine are pretty decent, but some of my rings just seem to be a little wonky.

I'm going to give a journal update soon. I'm running a March Hare sale in my Etsy shop for the rest of March as soon as I get over there. I was going to have it for a week before and after my birthday, but my husband just got back from the vet with our bunny who was hospitalized with pneumonia. She's going to be fine, but he JUST handed me the vet bill. >_< (rabbits count as "exotic pets" - ow)
Ah, well. C'est la vie! That's what credit cards are for, anyway. The sale should help pay it down, too.

No problem - I love glass work, and while fused glass is nice, all I usually see are people melting little squares of glass onto other little squares. It gets boring after a while! But your stuff is great. Keep it up!
