Griffon, gryphon.Ah, I said I would draw one for someone so here it is. Sorry I can't remember who it is who wanted one because it was quite awhile ago.

No one said it HAD to be eagle first then lions feet, to me lions feet first makes more sense for landing and holding up its body.

I was surprised to see the bird legs in the back, but I like it! I think it turned out great.
And I totally agree with what you said, (two years ago) bird heads are way better than lion heads. How could you fly with a giant mane anyways?
And the tail is awesome. It is officially my favorite gryphon tail.

i like how the talons are the hindlegs! I usually see them the other way around. The face is adorable.

sweet gryphon/griffin. the only thing is that i always have seen them with the eagle legs in front, and then the whole back of the body is a lion, including the tail. the only reason i noticed is because im used to having them look all muscular in the back.

Yeah I accidentally switched it around not even thinking about what they are SUPPOSED to look like. The tail was definatly on purpose, I find it's prolly more useful in flight with feathers than a lion tail.

Interesting color combination. I applaud you for going the reverse -- most gryphons are portrayed with bird fore and leonine hind. Very few go in the opposite direction.
