Description 56 Danger Ahead.

Sorry i havent submitted much lately. ive been busy drawing in my sketchbook and classwork instead of digital stuff. gotta get my base skillz better before i can go crazy

soo yeah
its a ship thats tearing through a forest/jungle. pretty much like the game Haze. here though, the ship chops up the trees and sucks them inward to be used for fuel to keep going forward. obviously the locals dont like this, but they have no clue on how to deal with it. so some local mercenaries were hired to go check it out. you figure out the rest

crits plz

Yeah this is lovely. I like the down and dirty look of it, strokes all over the place. You are entirely too good I expect you do be doing professional work and not cohorting with us amateurs. XD

Someone else already pointed out the atmospheric perspective stuff, but another thing I notice is the puffs of smoke or whatnot in the upper left hand corner. The are emphasized by the composition, and it makes me think they must have some significance.... yet I don't know what. So I suppose if they are smoke (I see some shape similar to them in the smoke on the right side too though), I'd get rid of them, or make them blend in better. If they are not smoke and something important, they should be more defined and clear as to what that is.

From far away, the first thought was "Is this a new level for Halo?". I know, weird first thought.

Still, it's wonderful for a digital painting, I like the use of colors and the meshing of things to make you have to step back to get the whole picture then you can come back up close to see more of the details.

Keep up inspiration Robert.

just to clarify thouhg, thr fluffy looking green stuff under the ship are the trees you meantioned in you're description right?

om nom nom nom nom...

anyway, is the ship suppose to be really big? cuz right now since it's as dark as the people in the foreground it's looking pretty tiny. i know i suffer from the same problem too when it comes to pushing things back. and at first it didnt strike me as something that's chopping up trees.. you might want to define that part a little.. it's only after i read the description i went, oooh, that's what it's doing. i like the brushwork though.. roughness is the way to go..
