yup, I'm a fan of most of the anime of the main character getting stuck/transported to other worlds..hack//sign, Log Horizon, Overlord, strangely enough though, was not a big fan of Sword art online. It was kinda Meh for me. Guess because I like the sorcery in sword and sorcery.
XD I like building and making stuff in games (even in Neverwinter Nights I invested my spellcasters with Item Creation feats)
as for playing a Demihuman in Overlord, hmmmm I'd likely be a Kobold. I love playing them in Pathfinder when I can get away with it, but my group tends to dislike me doing so (apparently I play them acting the part of the fool, but actually having high intelligence scores and problem solving a little too well for them.) I tend to also play the Elemental/Geniekin races.
I'd actually like to be in a campaign like Overlord or Log Horizon
Anyway I do hope everyone enjoys the sketch.

Other world anime/manga are almost always great. One of my favorites is GATE.

I belive there's a new take on it this season, where two girls in need on World X summon a demon lord, whose name is actually the name of the MC's character. Looks like a fresh take. If I run across the description again, I'll let you know.

I think it's categorized as 'Interdimensional Exiles' and if I was building it as a campaign I'd use it for the category as well in BESM. If you like these series you might also enjoy 'Death March to the parallel world Rhapsody' it's in a similar vein as Overlord.

Yeah, I watched Death March. It was Okay. I'd maybe watch more? Don't actually recall if I stopped at end of season or whatever.
My favorite part of Overlord is that Lord Ains feels like he deserves his mighty power. He did the grind, he set it up, he alone was waiting, he gets the power. Death March maxes his level with no effort. Same with in another world with my Smart Phone or whatever, although that was a particularly nauseating power trip.
I think the interesting part of these shows is what I feel when I watch it. Log Horizon makes me want to play an MMO. Overlord makes me want to watch another Episode. SAO makes me want to write a manga/anime (specifically, work on my SAO Pirate fanfic comic think I've been thinking about for forever) Death March makes me want to play some game with their crazy, insanely huge and confusing dungeons.
BESM is on my list of games to look into. Which edition do you play?

I've played all of them and had been collecting them when they first started. My ex kinda got me started on them with the sailor Moon BESM book. Right now I'm working on a story in my spare moments for 3rd edition based game on a cross between Log Horizon and Overlord.
Had a character I made for the concept some time ago called Pyrous The Eternal Flame, he was the Tailor of Nazarik and a Effreti.

And that's usually a good way to start a story or a rpg campaign, if the story behind is good. Which is not as easy than having a good premise.

yup, I see it more or less moving to the background of Anime Genre's like others but not really fall completely off the radar. Mecha anime will likely resurge since most Isekai anime is Fantasy Based
