Description Welcome ladies and gentlemen (and blacksmiths)! Today I forged with the kind help of a friend this key chain thingy here. I was inspired by a video on youtube so I decided to make one of those fobs myself!

Hardware: Hammer, forge, coal, steel, chisels and some more stuff

Software: mah brain

Total time it took to create: 2 hours (had to forge a fat piece of steel down in order to have some square stock :c )

You can setup a realy slow time-lapse with youre phone and pick some good images from it, so that you don have to worry about the camera.
Also have you thot smelting some copper ore youre self and crafting form it something. That would be awesome creating something for the earth it self.

Copper is easy to smelt, and copper ore is fairly common, all you need is a hole in the ground, some bellows and charcoal.Β

Now that's a smart idea! Timelapse ftw. Thank you!

Hmm. That would be frigging cool, wouldn't it? o.o I think I will try this some day, gotta work on my blacksmithing skills first though. I'm still a noob, you know. xD Also I'm currently working on a belt grinder design. I'm planning to build one in order to make some sick knifes!^^

No problem!Β

Oh belt grinder is a overall extremely useful tool, not only for knifes, but for any work.
You can use and had held belt sander and make the fixture and the pully system for it. its alot cheeper then going for the separate motor system. Also you can take it out of the fixture and use it as teh mobile version if needed. MyΒ neighborΒ made one, it works really good, and it was cheap as dirt.Β
He made id from a similar model as this one: www.ebay.com/itm/Ridgid-R2740-…

Weeeeell. Kinda to late now. xD I bought the 2.2kW motor a few weeks ago. I also got myself a variable frequency drive. There is only one kill and that's the friggin overkill! Belt grinders rock!! <3

Well, in that case overkill is a really good thing, at the end you will have a power beast of a belt grinder. Yore electricity bill myth not like it tho...Β
