Description What the title says. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My BFFs at Melville Metalworks and I cast some aluminum projects yesterday (mostly just filling an order they had for some plain, supposedly vintage style bottle openers) and I finally got to learn how to make green-sand molds myself!! 😃 I'm not quite in an official apprenticeship, but this is getting pretty dang close, it seems. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 😁

This is a guitar pick that I designed for myself based on specific dynamics that I've come to prefer in guitar picks.... Pointier, larger than a "Jazz" pick, thicker, and having those cutaways at the back of it, which helps it sit against guitarists' fingertips more comfortably and less cumbersomely. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The "ЯR" is a band logo, and stands for a band name that my BFFs here and I came up with accidentally and decided to run with; we wanted to git gud at guitar together just for the heck of it, but then this band name idea happened to come up, and we were like-----LOL now we HAVE to form a band and call it this. 😂🥰 Red Russians... Rest & Relaxation... Road Rage.... Rhyme & Reason.... Russian Roulette.... Redrum.... Red Roses.... Rough Romans.... It's also fun pretending not to be able to remember our own band name! 😆

I designed this pick in 3D, 3D-printed it myself at home (on a Tronxy) in (PushPlastic's Translucent-Gray) PLA filament, and cast this in aluminum with "green sand" and a fair amount of help from my expert friends at making the mold (since I'm a total newbie) along with a minimal amount of finishing-cleanup by my buddy Jeff........

But you can order this pick in a multitude of different materials including investment-cast (jewelry quality details & polish) and powder-printed sintered (matte textured) metals from my Shapeways shop, HERE:

I have yet to find out how this metal pick is going to wear down guitar strings, but I've heard that metal picks have indeed been used in the past by major league electric-guitarists. So...... It's not like metal picks are tragically and hopelessly incompatible with guitar strings. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

....It's only an accidental razorblade.... 🤪💥🎸🪚

And a SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick zipper-pull for my jacket...... 😂🥰

I'm obviously in a very ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ mood today.... 😆
