Kitewing lowered her ears as she listened to his story. She was about to apologise but he spoke before her. She huffed loudly.
'I'm no kid!' She declared 'I'm 17 Moons. 17 Moons and 28 sunrises to be exact, nearly 18 moons!' she subconsciously lay down, wrapping her tail around her rump. 'I was originally from a different clan before my clan too so don't talk as if you're different!
I was originally from SnowClan, but then me and my brothers got lost and ended up being kittypets! I had to go through apprentice training when I was old enough to be a warrior!'she paused, suddenly realizing she was talking about her personal life for no reason. 'A-Anyway! I have a mate and I'm expecting kits! You can't call me a kid' she stopped, gasping for air before looking over at Goldflame.

Blinking at Kitewing's sudden outburst, Goldflame couldn't hp but feel his muzzle quirk up in a slight grin. What a spitfire this one is, yeah? he thought, twitching his whiskers in slight amusement. "Listen sunshine, when you're a cat like me that's 30 moons old, and have seen the mousedung that I have...a lot of cats around ya are gonna seem pretty young." Letting out a quiet grunt as he sat back up, the tawny warrior quickly shook out his pelt before before glancing down at the younger warrior. "Didn't know you were from another clan too though. Not to mention being an expecting queen. So ah, congratz."

Finishing off his sentence a little lamely, the tabby lifted a forepaw to scratch at his messy scruff, the golden stalk between his teeth twitching lightly against a breeze. Giving out compliments and good wishes...this all seemed a little too strange.
