this is the public beach view. see the a little point of grassy area to the right. that is Burnt Meadow Island. i know its hard to see it. its blending in so well w/the rest of the background. straight ahead on the other side w/all that pretty fall color is the inlet. thats all swamp maple & white pine. U can't walk through there w/out getting your feet wet! at least they won't be able to develop there. but over to the left out of view is high & dry ground of birch & oak w/a strip of wet between the high ground & the shore line of the pond, which is a strip of dry ground no wider than one side of s road way. more or less than 8 ft. very narrow strip of land. both strips of the wet & narrow dry shoreline goes almost to the camp ground.
