rte 160 is on the other side behind those trees. part of Burnt Meadow Mountain in the back ground. its obvious those pines survived the fires & its not wet over there either. theres a camp there.
a whole back when we just got out of High School. my younger brother in his first car, brand new Chevy Nova(new 80s version). he had a powerful stereo system w/power boosters, etc. the works! expert in electronics! standing there that day, those guys in the camp under those pines had their home stereo system outside playing heavy rock music w/ big humongous speakers. U can tell they had it cranked up the highest it will go! my brother shakes his head & saids: "i got better system than that." we asked him what he was going to do. he said, "watch." few minutes later on the camp road i hear his music. he has Spyro Gyra in the tape deck just load enough to let us know he drove by. we hear him turn on the highway. just load enough that we can hear him & low enough that we can still hear the camper's system. he drove up & past & turns around where the inlet is to the pond. those campers think they got him beat. they are all laughing now. then my brother cranks up his system before he passes their camp again & over powers their system. where i'm standing, i couldn't hear any of their rock music. not a beat or one single note. all i could hear was the Spyro Gyra blasting across the pond!....lol.
