I'd love to do it for you, by a traditional way (oil painting). But tell me, this picture is already a painting you did (I mean an original composition) or a photo manipulation with photoshop painting tools ?

LOL...I'm a starving artist..I can't afford to have anyone do paintings for me...but thanx anyway lol
(I think it was photoshop...but it was 4 or 5 years ago and it was a demo program)

I look at this photo, and I keep telling myself I want to paint it.... but then I think"Why does it have to be painted?"

That used to be my argument when trying to explain abstract art to my non-art loving friends, who would judge a painting by how realistic it was. "Well if you want something realistic, just go and take a pic of it!" It's our job to bring something more to this world - create something new, not just copy!
Mind you, hypocrite that I am, I love to occasionally do something "realistic". ha ha!

When photography got it's start ppl thought painting would go....until they realized what they saw in paintings was not reality at all....(LOL...you can tell I'm not good at artistic lingo)

This is a compelling image, in an almost disturbing way. Something about the way her skin reminds me of a porcelain doll I think.
