Description
I always wondered about one thing in fanfics involving the revival of the deceased stitchpunks.
What bodies were used to revive them with???
Three of the corpses were lost, and the two remaining seemed burned beyond repair.
So, the logical solution would be that entirely new bodies were made and then, with the help of the talisman, the souls are transferred into the bodies.
That's my theory on the subject at least.
So I redrew my concepts for this idea from 2015.
I did change the mechanics quite a bit to give them a more updated look.

This is... this is really creative. I like how you incorporated the original designs into something of your own; the palette you used for each really captures their respective characters. Great job!

That's a pretty good idea. Most fans just say that 9 and the other found the bodies and repairs them but I have to agree that most if not all of them were to far damaged to possibly do that. So this was a nice idea for you to draw out. And now I've tell how I like each one.
8- First of all, you made him look very muscular instead of plush. His three leather straps are new and improved. You kept his mouth stripes which is very important in my mind. And than the colors; the darker brown and than creamy color for his arms and legs feels very natural seeing as how these were his main colors before but now are much better balanced.
6- He basically looks like a full shout out to the man Tim Burton himself. XD The hair is longer and crazier. His body now looks almost like it has some type of suite going on and you kept his eyes mismatched. And purple. XD Why purple? It's cute.
5- Aww. 5 just look so innocent, inviting and sweet here. The colors are light and warm tones so that you naturally feel comfortable around him. And you also kept his patch well putting a spin to it. Which is new for me. But a very nice touch.
1- Red, the color of respect and courage. A very nice choose for the newly crater pope doll after his sacrifice. You did get rid of his hair knot which I'm not to sure I like but, the rest of him looks almost regal.
2- And now the kind-heart inventor that we all loved and cries over when he went. What can I say? You made him look a bit younger which is interesting. His vest in more or less the same, but you gave him new colors of turquoise I think? Hmm. He did seem to have a cool collected personality so, maybe that works.
All in all, I like this idea and would give it a grade of a solid A

Thank you for starters! It certainly was a fun and interesting challenge to redesign these iconic characters.
Now I shall separate my responses to yours.
8: 8's a difficult one for me to draw. He's a strange balance between being fat and muscular. I often miss his pudgy detail and end up making him more muscular.
All in all though, it seems to be a good transition for his revived form.
I'm glad you like the balance of his colors. I was a bit worried that he'd look too dull being so symmetrical.
6: I'm love the response in itself, and have nothing else to add since I just can't think of anything past my joy from it!
Why purple, though? Purple seems like a strange and rather neglected color, especially in today's clothing.
I always found it be an artistic color due to it being a mix of calming blue and exciting red. It's a color of magic and mystery, along with royalty of course.
It just seemed like a logical choice for the unique little artist that 6 is.
5: Out of all the characters, 5 seemed destined for creamy tans and soft doughy browns.
I have to say it was a toss-up between leaving him with one eye and the patch or giving him two eyes but no patch. I made a rational compromise.
Poor 5 deserves to have two eyes again, and hopefully he won't lose it again!
1: I always figured that red was 1's favorite color, and I can see why. It's a color that suits his personality and ideals.
The loss of the hair notch is a bit of a loss, but I wasn't sure if he'd want it back or not. Assuming if he even disliked it.
Oh well. Concepts change, and hey. It leaves room for others to improve upon the idea.
2: I decided to give him and 1 a younger look to suit their new and improved forms.
It also provides a rather heart-warming thought of the two reveling in their not-so worn and weary frames.
After all, they were the oldest and most crude in structure. There were bound to be problems with their durability.
2's original colors were fitting for his age and health, being antique and dusty browns.
But they didn't suit his personality fully. He was wise, excitable, friendly, and creative.
Teal seemed like the best bet to match these traits, since it is both a calm yet exciting color.
The brown vest and knee patches were added to honor his previous life, since the color itself still suited him even if not fully.
(Besides, he looks smashing in a vest!)
