Thanks! And good to know. I'd just like to get the doubler to get closer though... I had to crop quite a bit to bring the viewer in that close.

Thanks I was quite pleased with it myself... That's the best shot of the moon I've ever been able to capture
I need to get a doubler though for my lens... I'd like to be able to zoom in to about 600mm

in short my friend Stephen, I am a photography fail in action ...

i can comprehend 600 mm, though I have no idea-mechanically, how this will affect the outcome of the picture..doubler for your lens..yeah that one aahh -completely lost me there..if you have a moment, plz explain as I am one who would rather understand than shake my head and remain clueless..

LOL, no worries my friend
So this shot was taken with my 70-300mm lens. I had it dialed up all the way to its max zoom of 300mm. If I had a doubler (which is a device that I add to the lens) it would make it a 140-600mm lens. In essence I'd be able to get a lot closer to the moon

and now having a better grasp of what you were saying..your picture would have better resolution and of course you would seem closer to the moon ere go a fuller picture..I like it..ty kindly for the info man

I'm still working with a $200 digi I got from Walmart soooo, not so advanced ..
