I did this for a project in school. I carved the hand into the back of a piece of matting board. Then painted the rest. At one point I even accidently sliced my finger which is why the top blood splurting from the heart is darker. It's real....

people at your school must think you have problems...XD Still nice though. 200 years from now people will look at it in a museum and the tour guide will say 'see that dark spot? it's real blood' and they'll all 'ooh' and 'ahh'
