Did you actually ASK if it was okay to do this?
She doesn't typically allow anyone to edit her commissioned work and redistribute it without at least asking her first. Most of the time she's pretty easy going about it if you *ask*, but if you didn't you really should have, especially if you're going to post the edit of her work in your gallery.

You're right, I should have asked first and have taken it down. Pending her decision. If she says no I'll make one out of my verison. Though her's is far superior to mine. I apologize.

As long as she's okay with it, it's no problem. That's why you should always ask first.
The thing is... if someone saw it and knew it was her work, they could report your deviation as art theft. Even if you didn't mean it that way, it could be a bad mark for your account. I didn't want to do anything like that because I didn't think you realized you shouldn't have posted this without asking her, so I just talked to you about it... but if someone else had done it, they might have just reported it. You see?
Aside from looking out for my friend's work, I was trying to make sure no one gave you an undue amount of trouble on this... because I didn't think you meant any harm.

She sad you took it down and asked and now everything is okay. I'm really glad to hear that.
