I finally make one of the 3 parts of the tutorial i've said long time ago ^^
1.Part- LineArt
2.Part- Color
3. Shading
I put here the sketch of that tutorial, if anyone want to practise with it, do it :33

This is a nice tutorial, but too bad I don't have ps or sai. I have its crappy twin brother gimp. XD

How do you get the final piece to be opaque & without a white background?

Make 2 layers, the white background, and other one, and use this to make the ink or whatever, when you finish it, delete de layer of the background and save it as a PNG file.

nice tutorial ^^ but I think its better if you will indicate whether your using a tablet or not ;]
and also for Paint Tool SAI users [Beginners Only]
Vector layer helps alot in line-art as what criis-chan indicated above, but there are more faster way regarding the
Pressure, Edit, Curve, Line and Pen usage. For SAI users, go to [Help/Config] then choose [Key Config]
Set all the shortcut keys // im using Q
[CTRL]+[TARGET AREA] will add 1 Movable Point
[ALT]+[TARGET DOT] will delete 1 Movable Point // [ALT]+[TARGET LINE AREA] will delete the line between 2 Movable Points
this will help you save more time ^^ sorry for barging in >x<
