some of the sketches I did after getting so many nice suggestions in my latest journal ... gonna do more and some of them already got some color but not all will be developed into more than just sketchesseveral people suggested I should draw some fantasy stuff and dragons, dinos, etc. - so i started with a trex and another one and suddenly there was grimlock ...
female couple down there sugegsted by - no idea who they are but I thought it would be nice to draw a female couple + they both have nice swords
female at the bottom left is a character created by - fighter girls with cool armor always get me XD
gatomon and gabumon suggested by - actually two of my fave digimon back when I watched the show years ago ^^
the couple at the bottom right are my fantasy OC's
will take me ages to get to the point they actually become a couple in my written story but well... eventually their time will come .. you may continue to add suggestions to the journal, I can always use ideas for warmup sketches or more ^^ [link]

yeah ^^ it's rly helping to get so many ideas and from so many different areas - to me this is rly helpful for warmup sketches and such

^^ well but you'll never get better if you don't try and practise - practise is also one reason why I do this and not only draw things I can handle easily ^^ and let me tell you the dinosaurs weren't easy to sketch - not at all ^^

mainly on computer, I don't have a working scanner anymore and considering working on pc works faster and saves resources I nearly stopped drawing on paper at all ^^

oh? well i do not have a scanner but out internet cafes here allow us to scan for only 10 pesos.. ^^ in the place where you are? does your internet cafes allow that kind of thing too?

I used to draw on canvas sometimes before I got into digital art or with color pencils (shortly after joining DA) but what I produces back than was just ... not pretty to say it nicely XD most of the understanding of color and light and such I gained through digital art because it is so easy to correct errors and alternate an existing picture and to experiment with color, light and perspective. compared to my learning speed back then ... starting with digital art was what rly helped me to get better ^^

oh i see... so far i got use to traditional while i was young but now i guess i am a combo of both digital and traditional.. ^^ cause to me either if its digital or traditional that results can be the same to me.. as long as you know how to control the brush or the pen on both ends.. ^^ still its nice too hear that you got better.. on the other hand I my self am trying to practice in digital too.. tho i can not stay on the computer to long... ^^ i hope i can be as better as you someday.
