Description just another thing for my commission list editing - trying another lineart style next to my usual thin-simple-whatever-lines ^^ but I'm still learning to get a better hold on comic-like lineart/inking whatsoever so please be nice, I'm soooo touchy ... bwahaha nah not rly XD

and no I'll not abandon my usual lineart style, just trying to offer a little more ^^

btw this is based on one of the sketches I did on this journal dumb and these chars are mine, do not use without permission, thank you ... and yeah, drawing human males and their hair... I hate it

I really wish to know how you do such great lines, they are so straight and not sketchy like mine.

what I noticed on your lineart is what a lot of artists do when starting to draw with a tablet - you make a lot of short lines - this is why it looks sketchy. My advise would be that you try to draw the basic outline with longer and more easier strokes, don't be afraid to make a mistake and do not try to stay on the line by all means - it will only cause more sketchiness. Also use the smooth option in SAI, it's in the upper menu bar, pretty much in the middle. Use a higher setting - I used 10 for this lineart - it will help you to stay in line because it slows the speed of your brush^^ for sketching I usually use 0 but for lining a little higher ^^

Okay, I will do my best on taking your advice and will try *never knew there was a smooth option*

I have to agree with you there, a few weeks ago I didn't know I could use layers. That was funny to find out then realize I had been staring at them for at least an entire week without realizing what I was staring at, and I had been looking for it. I was sorta looking for it on the left.

yeah I'm sure there are still some features in SAI I have no idea about but this is pretty normal I guess ^^ and layers yeah ... but heads up - if you get to know one art programm you will have an easier time understanding others ^^ and btw you can change the alignment of the menu - like on which side the layers are and such ^^

There are somethings that just need a small booklet of instructions. I am still getting use to SAI but I'm trying to understand Photoshop at the same time, I'm staying to my comfort zone currently. Yeah, I'm trying not to mess with my order of things (last time I did I pretty much got rid half the icons on some program and it took me forever to get them back, but that was years ago).
