Description
I had an assignment to illustrate fire, and this is what evolved. I was originally going to draw Starr, my fire-wielder, but she's one of my most mellow characters, so she pretty much just stands there, and I didn't think that would make a very good image of fire. The idea behind this picture is that it's a reversal of the traditional dancing in a ring around a bonfire. Here, the fire is dancing around the dancers. I have another version of the picture where there's actually some ground underneath the dancers' feet, but I kind of like it being all black.
