This reminds me of a fanfic I once read about Iris accidentally ending up in the past (I think it's deleted now!)...
Iris meets the past (Maverick) Zero, but strangely he does not attack her...The fic did not make a whole lot of sense to me, but she supposedly befriends him after Wily hears her speech and thinks she's crazy...
