Absolutely beautiful! One imagines this as being from the point of view of someone who has journeyed for a long time, and has fallen in exhaustion at the doorstep of death, and before the mortal light is extinguished, an angelic guide appears to continue as a light to follow before the endless encroachment of perpetual night settles down and with its dark fingers pulls the eyelids down forever on the fallen one.
