I went through the whole game romanceless, so I'll take your word on this
Since I've got also an m!Shep playthrough (the game ending was so disappointing that I've not been in the mood to follow that one yet) I still might get a chance to see some

Yep, and the easiest way to see it is if you stay loyal to your ME 1 love interest or if you don't romance anyone in ME 1 and romance someone in ME 2
