As I presume, Your incarnation of Shepard was a female?

That's not my f!Shep, I did this one for a friend. I've played both a f!Shep and a m!Shep, she tended a bit more to the renegade side, whereas the m!Shep was full time paragon. Here's my m!Shep: [link]
and here's my f!Shep

So You have various ME alternative personifications. Fascinating.

It was! I was in tears pretty much the entire time I played the Citadel mission >_<
Mordin's death really bummed me out, his little song really got to me. Especially as I'd spent ages in ME2 trying to keep him alive in the suicide mission.
I totally agree! Did you play the extended cuts?

I don't think I will, they did not realy fix much. I've seen the green ending expanded and all you get if a few more minutes of video, no real interaction at all and sorry explanations to the most obvious bloopers, like how the guys in your assault platoon suddenly appear on the Normandy (of course, Shepard stops the attack long enough to evacuate his people, even though everyone else is dying around, and the reapers just wait in the meantime) or how the crew ends up leaving the jungle planet (because they apparently had everything they needed to repair the ship after it collided). No mention to the elephant in the room: "to prevent average machines from killing you, I'll create giant machines to vaporize your race. Sounds right, huh?"
The lamest thing is how they try to sell their DLCs while you are still trying to process how could they mess it up this bad. In fact, I'm very dissappointed at ME DLCs: they take important parts of the main action line to sell them separately. It's ok to sell new side missions (like the Sky is Falling in ME1), but not to strip the game from major parts to force players to buy them (like Lair of the Shadow Broker or Arrival). How can they start a game with the main character in jail after you finish the last game as a hero without even a minor explanation? Not cool at all
Needless to say, in the future I'll double ckeck before I buy stuff from these guys: if I play for a game, I want the whole main plot to be in my discs.

I wouldn't, I didn't expect much except a little closure but it didn't make me feel any better. None of it made sense, it just made me feel worse.
Yeah the falling sky mission was fine, it didn't affect things too badly.
I can't imagine how weird it would be if you played the games without playing any of the DLCs. Liara would have just become the Shadow broker? Shepard just went off and destroyed a mass relay? It would just be weird.
Yeah arrival was just odd, to me it seemed lazy as they only allowed you to play as Shepard. It really bugged me that you couldn't have your squad mates with you for one of the most important decisions in Shepard's life.
Yeah, it seems lazy that they cram dlc to make up for storyline...

I couldn't decide between which ending (I never played though the original because I didn't complete the game befor I got the extended cut).
I just picked destroy but now I'm kinda regreting it.
As to complnstae for EDI's death, I belive Shepherd dosen't live long after the expolsion.
All the ideas for the ending were gresat in my opion, but if they put just as much closure in it as they had in the extened cut, everthing would've gone alright.

I still don't think so. The only thing they added to the extended cut is a few more video minutes and cheap explanations to the easiest plot holes, like how can be the crew members who attack the beam with you be in the Normandy at the end. "Hey, it's all right, the reapers decided to stop attacking until Shepard had time to evacuate them while running in the middle of a battlefield"
The most important plot hole (why would anyone create a race of deadly giant machines to destroy organics in order to prevent machines from destroying organics) remain unexplained and the whole crucible thing is the worst deux ex machina explanation I've seem since the Architect in Matrix. Besides, from a simple player point of view, you cant end a game with a 15 minutes video with hardly any interaction at all, this is not a movie. Besides, your actions through the 3 games have in fact no weight at all in the ending (you can choose whatever ending you want despite your background and, anyway, all endings are practically the same). In fact, the game is pretty poor in terms of interaction (take Ash, for example, that spends most of the game locked in a room and repeating "Commander". Given that her family was IN the Citadel because she asked them when the reapers abducted it and processed people inside, I'd have expected some reaction from the Ash I knew from ME1). I think these guys were in a hurry to finish the game and went for the easiest paths. Dragon Age Origins was a good RPG. I always thought ME was far better, but after the ending I feel I've been cheated. In fact, I don't plan to download the extended cuts, it's the same if you just watch them in Youtube
