Okay...admit it. Who in their right mind would make a Super Sentai series about kittens? ME! That's right..it takes a seriously big cat freak to come up with this one...

Anywho, meet the Mahou Neko (magical kitty) team of Itsutsu Nya (essentially "five meow"). This is based on my favourited Japanese legend "Tama-chan the Beckoning Cat" aka the "Legend of the Lucky Cat." Tama-chan waved at a rich noble who was hiding beneath a tree in a rainstorm. He ran to see why she beckoned him just before lightning felled the tree he was sheltered beneath. So he and all his generations worshiped at the shrine Gotokuji, where Tama-chan lived. She was buried there when she died.
So in my lil' tale, these five kittens go on a pilgrimage to Gotokuji and after much playing and excitement, fall alseep just after praying at Tama-chan's grave. Her spirit is moved by their visit and decides to bestow magical powers on them. She gives them each a different coloured bell that allows them to transform into kitten embodiments of Love, Luck, Wealth, Intelligence, and Health. Their fur changes into the colour of their bells, and their bells take on the original colour of their fur. The colours are based on the principles of Feng Shui (I have a set of Feng Shui kittens in my house in these five colours - and that inspired me too).
Love= Pink, Luck= Purple (wards off evil), Wealth= Yellow, Education/Intelligence= Green, Health= Blue
With luck, will have time to help me eventually animate this project. But for now I'll try and get basic sketches and such up.

The stories I have planned so far are simple and don't involve monsters or the like. Just kitties trying to help as best as technicolour pussycats can.
