You get some amazing texture and gradients out of flash. Most flash work doesn't seem to have so much tonality. Just wondering, was the sloshing liquid done frame by frame or is it an object moving side to side behind a mask and enveloped to get a little more wave to it? I would guess key framing without flash tweens but I don't know.

In any case it looks great as always.

Thanks. I usually illustrate everything in Illustrator CS4 then import it into Flash. I find it difficult to draw in Flash. But yeah, the splashes inside the case were all frame by frame

Good Advice!! Do you use the bone tool much or do you stick with frame by frame and symbols?.. sorry to be so inquisitive. This looks awesome.

Thanks Nah I don't use it. I've tried it before but couldn't get the hang of it. It didn't do what I wanted it to so I went back to shape and motion tweens

Cool. I need to get into illustrator more. I like the new blob brush in CS5 but it probably wont do nice gradients like you have. I shall have to play with it.

Good use of gradients and the gloopy brain fluid stuff is awesomely flowing with those bubbles! I guess the only thing that'd need some work to make the walk cycle look a little better are the legs, even just enlarging the leg on the right a little so it looks in front of the over might do wonders, but if this was just a quick bit of fun it doesn't really matter, still looks ace.

cronobreaker In reply to GagaMan [2010-10-06 03:45:48 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. Yeah I've still haven't completely mastered walk cycles yet. I get so tired looking at them over and over again that I kinda get sick of working on them haha!

Its awesome......I think the liquid could be worked on and enforce the walk.

Maybe moving it in a cicular movement instead of back and forth.
