Description It's finally finished ^_^

This has easily been the biggest & most complex piece of art I've done so far. It brought up a lot of challenges but I'm really happy with how it turned out in the end.

This image is inspired by Ghost Trick on the Nintendo DS, which I have to say is a truly excellent title. You can check out a trailer for the game here [link] (which also inspired this painting). The puzzles are great fun & the story has so many twists, turns & revelations that it'll keep you hooked from start to end.

Ghost Trick is owned by Capcom & is awesome.

Painted using Art Academy on Nintendo DSiWare.

If you can spare a minute or two to leave a comment or some feedback then you are awesome!

Thanks!

If you see a copy definitely give it a shot. It's been a long time since a game has had me hooked this much. The plot in particular is very well paced & written, with big twists & turns in all the right places. It's a real page turner of a game

Yeah, I'll definitely go after it at some point. Right now I'm busy with Chrono Trigger and Okami, two other excellent games.

Aye, both are excellent.

I can't remember how long ago I played Chrono Trigger, but as someone who isn't a particularly big RPG fan (I have my few series I like but generally don't get on with most) I loved it from start to end. It's a real treat.

I loved Okami as well, mainly for it's Japanese folklore/fairytale spin on things. Other than the game itself, which was great fun, found it fascinating to read up on the stories & traditions behind so many of the characters, stories & settings. I've always been interested in Japanese culture & mythology, but playing Okami opened up so many gateways of knowledge, history & tradition to discover.

I hope you have a great time with both games ^_^

Thanks a lot

I had to wrestle with the software at times since some of the areas I was trying to paint/smooth/improve were smaller than the smallest brush, but I'm very happy that the effort paid of in the end & it's taught me a lot of lessons & tricks that I can hopefully put to good use in the future!

Thanks a lot!

That moon has caused me no end of trouble. I couldn't get a decent shape for a long time & then once I finally started painting it in it took me several days of endless tinkering & re-tinkering to get a colour scheme which worked well & gave off a certain luminance to the picture. I'm still not fully happy with it, but hearing you comments (& those of a few others noting the moon in particular) has definitely helped me feel better about it. ^_^

Thanks!

I'm really happy with the sky myself. I love doing gradual shade changes like that where it all blends together, but you still get a sense of the brush strokes that went into it. I wish I managed to get more of that effect on the moon surface (as opposed to the craters), as the shade changes are a bit too subtle for my liking.

Hopefully I should have something up in my scrapbook soon showing off some of the progress while I was working on this piece.
