Sirocco liked to believe she was a tolerant and forgiving deity. Slow to anger, merciful to her enemies, and never one to react too harshly. By all rights, the strange and impudent mare who attacked her was deserving of a much more dire punishment. But while smiting her down would have been the quickest and most effective response, it was hardly conducive towards teaching a lesson or humbling her erstwhile foe.

With this in mind, the jackal was mindful to check her attacks, fascinated by the strange black substance that allowed the mare to change and manipulate her shape. Much to Sirocco's delight, the mare's source of power was also quite the fatal weakness. Forcing her opponent back, one timely strike allowed Sirocco to rip away the ebony serpent that enfolded its mistress, leaving the mare vulnerable and exposed. Another mental command, and Sirocco's bandages easily caught and restrained the villain turned victim.

Now the only question was how best to discipline this haughty horse, a task the goddess was quite looking forward to undertaking
