Personality :
Ling is a quiet and intelligent person who takes her studies very seriously. Because of this, she often comes off as a "cold" person who wants nothing to do with people, but on the inside, she is just another awkward lump trying her best to fit in with everyone.

Due to the trauma of having murdered her mother, she has a hard time approaching people and may even have the occassional case of paranoia. "Are they talking about me behind my back?", "If I talk to them, will they run away?" Because of these frequent thoughts, Ling is relunctant to make any friends. But that doesn't stop her from daydreaming of the day someone will come and save her from this loneliness.

With the lack of communication, she may also come off as awkward, unable to maintain proper conversation, nor speak of topics that are interesting or relatable to the subject.

History :
During her childhood, Ling was a cheerful girl who would often help her parents with housework; however, because of this, she rarely spent time with her friends from school. Not that she minded, of course. She loved her parents and wanted to help them out as much as she could.

Many of her friends gave up inviting Ling out to play, knowing that she would refuse without any hesitation. But the young girl started to regret what little time she spent with her friends when the relationship between her parents started thinning away.

It was on her 12th birthday that the marriage between her parents would not work out. Her mother came home with another man, both dishevealed from an intimate night together (that night her mother had not gone home).

Though quiet throughout the whole issue, the idea of his wife cheating on him killed her father on the inside. Seeing him constantly crying at night when her mom ran off to play around made the young teenager bubble with hatred. Though she had always admired and adored her mother, those feelings were long gone.

Ling spent weeks tossing and turning in bed, hoping that the anger and hatred would subside, but it never did. Even after seeking help from her friends, she was left alone in the dark with absolutely no one to confide in.

Two months after her twelveth birthday, Ling came home to find her father dead from hanging himself. Horrified, the preteen went into a state of histeria, blaming her mother for everything that went wrong. For all the friends that she couldn't rely on, for hurting and killing her father, for the miserable life she was leading.

It was two days following the death of her father that she decided that her mother would have to follow. Even if that meant she had to deal with the guilt and consequences of murder, she didn't care. She wanted revenge for everything her mother had ever done.

Ling had heard that her mother had moved to Zone 3 with her new boyfriend and paid the woman a visit. When it was approaching 2am, her mother finally returned home, drunk, stumbling down the street with her blouse unbuttoned.

Ashamed and frustrated that her mother was still playing around, the young girl snapped. Using the string from the Yo-Yo that her mother had bought for her that 12th birthday, she strangled her mother right then and there. Her mother never screamed. Only struggled and gurgled before going slack.

Horrified, Ling ran back home, leaving her mother on the sidewalk to be found dead only hours later. No evidence or witnesses left, only the faint mark of a string wrapped around the woman's neck.

For days, weeks, months-- the events following that murder blurred before Ling's eyes. She could only wait for the day when the police would find out that it was her who had killed her mother.

She couldn't even recall when or how she started living with her uncle and aunt in zone 1. All she could remember was how tears filled her mother and father's eyes during their last moment, and the tears that would constantly appear late at night.

Whatever happened back in Zone 3 should stay there. But the memories constantly haunt her even during these peaceful college days.
