Description (Dragonfly)

As a child, I was fond of catching dragonflies in our garden. However, as soon as I catch them, the enjoyment recedes. I don't know what to do with them and find them simply useless in my hands. This did not stop me though, from seizing dragonflies everytime I see one.

Later in life, I realized that these dragonflies has taken the form of the many material things I desire to posses. The joy of attaining them only last for awhile till another 'dragonfly' comes to view. Sometimes I wonder if these things are commensurate to the efforts I exert to get them.

This is what this painting is all about... " A lot of moment in our lives, were spent catching dragonflies. For what?"

No. I call this style 'crosshatchism'. Instead of dots, I use sets of parallel lines intersected against layers of lines in different colors to achieve this effect, like some impressionists does. I'm glad you like it. Thanks.
