Description Driving home last night, up the east coast road, I became aware of a light out to sea. At the next vantage point I pulled up and saw it was a full moon shining on the surface of the water. I only managed a couple of hand helds before it started to rain heavily

Very atmospheric. This would make a brilliant cover for the right book.

Not a soppy romance novel. I wouldn't allow it

Are you inferring that soppy romance novels might be my cup of tea. Actually I was thinking of something more Dasheill Hammitty.

I never inferred anything, but for the record, yes

Sam Spade et al is not my warm beverage either but I can go along with your thinking about the book cover

I'm really not the romance novelist type. I think I gave up Harlequins when I was 13. My favourite author is Delderfield. I re-read all of his books about every 10 years.

I think this photo would belong in the suspense/mystery genre but not the bloody gory mysteries they come out with these days.

I've never read Delderfield but the title 'God is an Englishman' sounds very promising..........and accurate

I'm not into suspense, gore or mystery but I would be happy for an a publisher of that genre pay me to use my picture as a cover. If you know of any such publishers, please put in a good word for me

He has two or three trilogies and that is the first book of one of them and one of my particular favourites.

Sorry I don't know anyone of any importance in any line of work so I'm pretty much a waste of space.

I like this Steve. I tried to get a shot like this last year when I was in broadstairs but didn't quite manage it. Nice work mate.

Cheers Tony. It could have been better, but I had to rush this. I was stood on a stile taking my shot when it started to rain. The car was only a few feet away but it was siling it down by the time I got into it. South-west Scotland has just had its wettest August since records began in 1914! Sod my luck.
