A second look at this really brings to mind Kansas from the Wizard of Oz.

Really? The over saturated colour version possibly, but with this one I can't see your train of thought.

No this one does it for me. Perhaps the Kansas scene in the movie is b&w?

Now I see where you are going.

Talking of going, are you in the Lakes yet? How's the weather?

We are in the Lakes and settled into our little home for the next six weeks. The weather when we arrived was mostly cloudy with a really nice sunset going on but we didn't take the time to stop and try to capture it.

As it turns out it is mid-term break and extremely busy around here and what with that, and that stupid valentine holiday, it's almost impossible to get a meal around here. Had you taken that into consideration when you picked next weekend for your trip? I think it will slow down by Sunday but I imagine that Fri and Sat will be busy around here.

Great depth here.

As of tonight we are just up the road, 140 miles or so, in a very chilly castle.

However we had dinner in a very warm pub in front of a coal fire and I dare anyone to complain about the environment....

I LOVE SCOTLAND!

Thank you, Rebecca.

Hope you had a good flight. Welcome to the country!

We desperately need those tourist dollars, so spending is good

I don't think there's too much snow about for you, that said, I don't know what it's currently like over at Lomond.

No word yet from the Taffs about a meet up, but MY arrangements are made. See you soon!

It's the weekend of the 20th right? I hope this lovely weather continues. We just had our first hike up Conic Hill behind Balmaha. I have a sunburnt face.

Yes, the 20th all being well

On Kintyre we often see this kind of weather during the winter I spoke to my brother in Leeds today and the conditions there are artic, I had to send him a picture to prove I wasn't lying about our weather

The good weather forced me to take the afternoon off today and spend it with the camera about 40 or so miles north of here at a place called Kilmartin. There's an ancient church and graveyard there but I didn't go to see that. There's also a castle nearby and there are also lots of prehistoric standing stones in the area, those are the reasons why I went there. Pictures to follow...................

I hate sleeping in when the weather is this nice but I just woke up...of course it's 5 am in Canada and that's about when I wake up at home.

I'm looking forward to seeing your shots.

Nice, Steve. The B&W really brings out the light and clouds in the sky. The building does look better this way, than in color.

Thanks, thanks and thanks! It looks OK in colour, but the shack is a little on the dark side.

Could you submit it too?

I'm reluctant to; I don't actually like to submit more than one version of a pic.

I'll tell you what I'll do. I'll submit it to photobucket and send you a link.
