FOR THE HELL OF IT.

Okay, truth of the matter is that when you're working diligently on a novel, your brain has more of a tendency to wander off to different stories because HELL, IT'S HARD WRITING A NOVEL. So, it's like... I had actually written the first chapter of a fic revolving around the "If the jellicles were rumrunners" idea. NOT TO BE SEEN because it's on a floppy that this computer won't read, along with 10,000 words of my NaNoWriMo novel. NOT FUN.

Anyway, the basic plot is that Misto used to work for Macavity under the name Quaxo (he gave up Mistoffelees as a name a LONG time ago--Munkustrap sort of rechristened him when he took him up into the jellicles). Munkus accepted him into the Jellicle band thanks to the influence of Demeter. Misto had helped her escape Maca's grips, which is ALSO the reason why Misto's on the run from the band.

Actually, the story opened up with Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer driving him to the river to kill him and dump the body. Munkustrap saved him. Cuz for some reason I made Mungo and Teazer scared of Munkustrap. Seemed to make sense. *laughs*

ANYWAY YEAH, BEHIND THIS SCENE... Misto being introduced to Tugger, who is now going to be his babysitter/teacher. Tugger isn't happy.

I did this because the scene popped into my head. There was more to it, about the Lewis Street Riot and how Tugger's butt got fried, but HEY, MAYBE I'll get back to it. After I finish another commission. Woot. *laughs*
