And no, smoking is something that i don't understand how it can be legal at all, tobacco companies thrive on suffering and addiction.

Well, it's suffering and addiction that people choose for themselves, legal or not. A better question is why people even start at all, as it's supposed to taste terrible, not to mention the ever-mounting evidence of the health complications...

yeah indeed, but sometimes people get self destructive and turn to alcohol, tobacco and/or other drugs as a comfort, the reasons might be different but the fact that they do it volountarily is obvious, whether it is considered cool or a good aid for mental pain in bad times.
The fact that it excists and is provided is at fault as the base of the problem in my opinion.

I agree about availability...you can get cigs anywhere and I mean anywhere. But at least some of that money gets circulated back into the economy. I mean...drugs are illegal yet they are also very available, but the money goes straight to violent, uzi weilding maniacs that are currently shaking down tourists and corrupting cops in Mexico. Making cigs illegal would probably just steep them in an ocean of violence and very dirty money, much like other substances.

i myself started doing "snus" (which is a word for a pouch of tobacco here in Sweden) that you put under your lip, the reason i started doing it was both because some of my friends were doing it and said it was calming, and that it tasted great. And i really felt that i was in need for something to ease my stress and the current depression that i had found my self in due to unemployment. I got hooked before i knew it, unfortunetly. Now i am employed and happy, but it is really hard to get rid of the addiction.
That is just me though.

Nope I have a minute asthma and smoking directly can re-trigger it so that Id be in treatments for my lungs for at least a year so it could function properly so never will never can lol
