Ness was the product of a breeding program that wanted to attempt breeding a Noivern and a Drampa to create a fusion of the two. Multiple attempts were made to create the fusion they were after. The ones that managed to hatch were either normal pokemon or an unstable fusion that had no likelihood of surviving. The program ended up shutting down due to lack of results and the remaining eggs were left behind. Out of all the eggs that were left behind only one had managed to hatch. All alone no parents to care for her Ness was left to fend for herself. During the time that she was just a Noibat/Drampa she wondered the mountains struggling to survive. Life as a small pokemon was tough but years passed and she had learned how to avoid larger and stronger pokemon. By the time she evolved she had settled down in a heavily forested area by a lake with a loving partner. Ness and her partner lived happily together for quite some time they had even manage to have an egg together. One day when Ness returned from a long day of searching for food she found that both her partner and their egg where no longer where they were before. Ness searched frantically for them and her search lead her to the edge of the forest and into a small town. The events that followed were a complete mess that ended in several injured pokemon, people, and a subdued Ness that was taken down by several sedatives. When she woke up she found herself in a cage, in an unfamiliar place which she later found out was in the hideout.
