Personality:
Vince is a kind and supportive mon, always nice to others upon first meeting and loves to help others. He thrives off helping others and is very hardworking. He’s not one to laze around if there’s things needing done. Despite being kind for the most part Vince is also strongly opinionated, which often results in him bickering with others when he feels he needs to “tell someone else how it is.” Normally this occurs if he feels someone else is being taken advantage of or is being treated poorly. Vince tends to not worry that much about his own treatment, often being apathetic towards his own treatment. This can result in him allowing himself to be treated poorly and just go with it rather than standing up for himself. He can feel very hopeless at times, often feeling as if he is no good if he’s not helping the hideout or doing something to assist someone else.

Bio:
Vince was born a Fennekin, to two standard fire type Delphox. Born in a lab however, his egg was injected with DNA of water types. The plan was to create a fusion, hopefully a dual type of water and fire to see how the two types would interact together if one mon had both. But instead Vince ended up simply being a water type. His parents belonged to some of the head scientists and his birth was nothing more than their job to them, so the little Fennekin never really got to know them. As soon as the scientists realized their experiment had failed, he along with any others deemed as wrong were released into the wild.

This was needless to say a problem for the young fox Pokemon. While the scientists had never been cruel to him, the most interaction he’d had was the occasional human coming by to feed him, pat him on the head, and then leave. He’d been in captivity his entire life up until this point and he had no idea how to survive on his own. For the first few nights he stayed under a large bush, not ever venturing very far. As such he didn’t really eat, and he only left his safe haven once his hunger grew too much to manage.

In his search for food he accidentally tumbled into the territory of a pack of Houndoom and Houndour. They were angry at first, but once they learned he was no threat they offered him shelter and a place to stay so long as he was willing to help and prove his place in the pack. Of course he agreed, always willing to help the pack as best he could.

Eventually he evolved into a Braxien, able to help out even more with his duties. Life seemed to be going great. One day however Vince came across a nearby elderly man who happened to live alone in a small house near the edge of the forest that Vince called home. Wary at first, the Braxien kept his distance. Over time though the man and Vince seemed to trust each other more and more, forming a bond. At some point the man gave him a necklace, made of a small rope and a Mystic Gem, an item that boosted water type moves. The necklace ended up being somewhat of a comfort item, and he always held it close.

The pack wasn’t happy about it, but as long as it didn’t effect Vince’s loyalty to the pack they allowed the friendship with the man to continue. But once Vince learned the man wanted to move away, to buy a boat and become a sailor and live out at sea, the pack grew angry when he told them he was considering going. Understandably they were upset with him. Not even giving him a chance the pack cast him out, telling him that if he went to visit the man again then he shouldn’t come back. He recalls fighting with a close friend of his before he fled the pack in tears. While he had been grateful to the canines for taking him in his bond with his now trainer was one he couldn’t stand to break. Plus the man had no family anymore, he was alone, he needed Vince.

And so in time the two set out, the man buying a small boat that was big enough for the two to live comfortably on. They made a living out of catching fish and then heading into a nearby port and selling their catches. Life was good and despite being a water type, never before had Vince realized how much he loved the water. He often would hop off the boat and swim close by, it was his favorite thing to do.

The two lived in what seemed like perfect harmony for years. Until one night when a particularly bad storm shook the waves. They had dealt with storms before, but this one was the worst they’d faced. Vince was thrown violently from the boat. Despite normally feeling so at home in the water, this time the waves were too strong. They threw him back and forth violently and it wasn’t long until he was knocked unconscious from the sheer force of the current.

He doesn’t recall much, just that he woke up on a beach surrounded by pokemon. One in particular, the only one he could really focus on, a Zeoroa named Dawn. He learned they were from a pokémon run organization called Rocket Hideout and that they were on a mission. Thankfully, he realized he hadn't lost his necklace in the chaos and he became much more protective of it, refusing to take it off. While he wasn’t totally for the idea of joining while he knew his trainer was still out there, he needed medical help and agreed to go back with them for treatment.

Though he had not planned to stay, he found himself growing close to some of the mon there, Dawn especially. He still hopes to find his trainer again, but he figured it didn’t hurt to join the Hideout and have a place to belong again in the meantime. He liked being able to help and provide for others.
