Venn had slaved most of his day away putting the last remaining furniture sets together, so the idea of taking a stroll though town with his partner and eggs was very refreshing, What Callum didn't know, was that Venn had a surprise he was keeping hidden away at the flower shop. "Wow, this is the nicest the weather's been these past couple months." He turned his head to Cal as they passed the nova tree.

Vitani was running happily between her dads while Cal tried not to trip over her, he takes a deep breath and looks up at the sky "yeah.. iv missed this"

Venn glanced through the town goers, carefully avoiding Vitani's unpredictable movements. The three were outside a cafe, Venn gave Vitani a look. "Hey I got an idea," He turned back to Cal, " How about you wait here and get something while Vitani and I run an errand real quick" Venn began to hand Callum some coins from his pocket.

Callum pockets the coins in the side of the egg pouch "alright, dont be too long" he places a paw on the blue egg he has strapped around his chest "i feel like this one's getting close", Vitani stops running for a moment "it is?!" Her tails were wagging.

Venn gently brushed his hand across the egg in question, then leaned in to plant a gentle kiss on it's surface as he felt some more movement. "Well, I guess we better hurry now, don't want it hatch while we're gone." Venn grinned as he looked back down to Vitani, adjusting the straps on his own egg pouch.

Vitani started hopping around again "lets go! lets go! i dont wanna miss it!" then she bounced off in the wrong direction

Venn chuckled warmly as he nudged her in the right direction and they went off. "Come on, it's this way sweetheart".

Callum went a little outside of the town onto an open field next to the woods, he gently removed the egg pouch from around his chest and put it off to the side, keeping the egg close as he lays down in the sunlight. he sighs, dosing off in the setting sun

in his sleep, he did not hear someone approach from over the hill
