It's strange how much I started to like AZ and Floette when we are already in the 7th Generation of Pokemon and left Kalos behind already, but these two are just growing on me increasingly.
I mean gosh, we have a Pokemon that went off to fight in a war on the front lines and then was killed. Meanwhile, this Pokemon's loved one probably waited for the return, only to be given a tiny coffin with his fallen friend inside. And this Pokemon that died was later revived and upon revival has gained eternal life thanks to an alchemical weapon.
There is just so much one could do with this storyline! Like, what is Floette feeling? Does it have PTSD after having been on the front lines in a freakin' war or has it overcome that in the 3000 years it had run away from AZ? What did it do the entire time?
How does AZ cope with the world having so drastically changed around him? When he was alive, the dark ages in the Pokemon world have probably still been going on, so no wonder he is a "hobo" in this modern world.
And the one thing he will always have to live with is the guilt that he was the one who basically fired the Pokemon-equivalent of the atomic bomb! He pulled the trigger!

These two are just so complex and one can do so daang much with them, I just... *squee*

So yeah, I love these two.
Also, quite some songs by a group named Faun (like, almost all their tracks) would fit so beautifully as themes for the two, especially the songs "Wilde Rose" ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=CI402O… ) and "Wenn wir uns wiedersehen" ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVY4m6… )

I really want to draw some interactions between AZ, Floette, Mewtwo and Monika. AZ would be all like "Let me tell ya, young whippersnappers...!!" XD
