welcome to the newest fantrip of me. O___O
Seriously, I never thought I would EVER draw Digimon again. I did it like, 8 or even 9 years ago, I dunno the exact date anymore, but back then I used to draw Veemon and Gatomon a bunch and I totally loved the show. I was a fan of Gatomon and Veemon and Kari x Davis.... sigh... BUT.... I LOOOOOVED Arukenimon x Mummymon.
Okay, the complete story of this picture is this:
The German TV currently shows Digimon Adventure 02, and I am watching it to recall the good old times of my childhood. Now that I finally have gotten fast internet, my bro and me discovered, that ALL of the german dubbed episodes are on youtube to watch as well.
so, I was watching a bit farer than they are on TV. And suddenly, this woman in a red dress comes into view in one of the youtube episodes and suddenly I was all like "WAIT... that woman... I know that she had a frigging cool name... and I know that I LOVED her back then for more than just one reason." Then... HE pops up into the scene, calls out her cool name, and all of a sudden I remembered one of my first pairing flashes of my early childhood. 
How could I forget them??? Arukenimon and Mummymon!!!
___ Those two are just frigging awesome. The were practically the first couple that I loved in my life. Seriously. Okay, I dunno if they really are a couple, because Arukenimon died before she was able to find out that she loves Mummymon as well.
But just to see them again made me so happy, I am flying through the whole week currently. *__*
..and they explain my love for sadomaso-pairings. I would not love Yubel x Juudai or Kiryu x Aki if it weren't for these two. Mummymon is so maso and Arukenimon is so sado. PERFECT!
It is also so cute how he is always trying to make her happy or to approach her, and all she does is to reject him, or slap him. Slapstick romance... haaaah. ^___^ Those are rare to find nowadays, in the era of bad dubs especially. But luckily, the german dub of Digimon is as closely to the japanese as possible. It contains all of the japanese text, and music, just with the difference that the names are taken from the english dub.
Comparison showed to me anyway that American dubs tend to censor alot of things even back then O__O But I have fallen in love with the Filipino english version, because that is the only uncensored english version I know of.
I AM SO HAPPY THE GERMAN DUB IS SO GREAT! It is one of the few german dubs that come from a time before bad american censored stuff flooded away the originals. Even the voice actors were chosen well, and the mention of death and torture is still there!!
But anyway, the two are cute. Arukenimon with her really short temper and Mummymon with his patience who never will give up to be close to HIS Arukenimon. And that he truly loved her is shown when she dies and he states "I don't have a reason to live without her". It was so cute. and I still hate Myotismon for killing them off. Myotismon in general killed of all my fav characters. >___< Demidevimon for example. and my fav couple.
so, for your enjoyment, go to youtube and search for the episodes in the search bar. you might look through the video until you see a female in a red dress coming up along with a guy in dark blue. That's them. Arukenimon and Mummymon.

naja, ich weiß nicht, ob sie immer noch im Fernsehen laufen, aber auf jeden Fall findet man ALLE Folgen von Digimon auf youtube in deutsch wieder. Ich kann dir gerne einen Link geben. was mich außerdem verzaubert hat, war die Filipino Englische Version, die gegenüber der amerikanischen Fassung den Vorteil hat, dass es unzensiert ist und diesen lieblichen Akzent hat.

My favourite season is Digimon 02, because4 of said couple and the drama, and Digimon Tamers. Digimon Frontier is the one season that I Never have seen completly, which is the reason why it is not my favourite season, because, well, how can I like it if I haven't seen it? XD Maybe I will watch it when I come over my Digimon 02 fantrip. and when I finished watching the filipino english dub of it. Have you seen it on youtube? The accent is just so lovely! ^^

I've only seen the regular english dub. I don't like how they censor things but I'm very attached to those voice actors since I've watched that dub my whole life. Plus I really love their performance. (especially the guy who does the voice of Tai.) And it doesn't get nearly as much censored as like the english pokemon or yugioh. There's this one bit where ogremon's bleeding all over the place that made it into our version!

wel, okay, maybe this would be a reason for me as well to be attached to the german dub, because I know it from my childhood, so yeah, this is a good reason. and you are right, it isn't as much censored as other series nowadays. well, back then, everything seemed better, huh???
hehe, so you have the scene with bleeding Ogremon! It is cool that this scene made it to your version.
...now, I have watched episode 11 of Frontiers and saw Arukenimon and Mummymon in the background in one scene. O__O I am so going to watch Frontiers from now on!

Yeah we saw that scene when we were rewatching it online and we were all like "Holy crud, blood?! In a dub?!" XD There's also that one scene where Ken whips TK in the face, which surprised me.

I guess the first generation is my favorite generation, 'coz my favo Digimon normally is Gatomon, but the other, the second is Devimon (the blue one, im not completey sure if this is him name xD) I love that times, when the Digimon were funny.

Digimon 02, good old times, I watch it on youtube now and then to keep it fresh in my mind mostly because I write fanfics now and then ^^
Those two Arukenimon and Mummymon were quite a pair, Mummymon was so ga ga over Arukenimon, I remember that on one of the episodes he tried to kiss her, you know putting the called fishy lips lol
I'm a big Takari and PataGato fan, I respecte Daikari and VeeGato fans but only when they don't bash TK and Patamon, mostly Patamon since a good number of VeeGato fans on their fics tend to destroy Gatomon and Patamon's good friendship just to let VeeGato happen, if not they put Gatomon dating Patamon but cheating on him with Veemon, the poor wittle Pata doesn't deserves that
I have tried to understand the VeeGato pairing to see why their fans like it but for more I try I simply couldn't do it, guess is mostly because the reasons some fans give to like them as pairing. Recently a VeeGato fan told me that because they have things in common like walking in two legs or having physical (Melee) attacks.
I was like, what in this green earth that they walk in two legs or having physical attacks has to do with love? o.o
My other biggest block to understand VeeGato is the fact they didn't had interaction at all, if something they only crossed words 3 times and it was for things related to the mission like when she told Flamedramon to aim for the Dark Ring on that Monochromon (Episode 1)
But it is more because of the reasons some fans have to like them together like the ones I put above in this comment.
Also I'm kind of bored of Veemon getting all the fame for years now, is time for him to leave the spotlight to other digimon XD

Honestly said, I have no idea why I love Veegatog so much. O__O I really dunno, I just like them. But I don't have anything against Gatomon x Patamon fans. everyone has different tastes when it comes to pairings, and Patamon and Gatomon have more in common than Veemon and Gatomon, also in their digitations (both become angels after all) and their crest signs - hope goes well with light after all too.
Still, VeeGato is just... somehow funny, I still remember the episode in which Veemon tried to impress Gatomon. XD This made me think about how cute this pairings might be.
as to fanfictions, I found fanfics which go totally out of character rather boring if not annoying to the max. O__O Because, if people are not able to pair characters or write something interestin about them while keeping them in character why do they write anything at all then? >> well, this is my opinion here. Both VeeGato and Patagato are okay.
...I am just too much Mukeni at the moment to worry about VeeGato or PataGato though <___< MUKENI FOREVER!!! *___*
I am thinking of writing some Digimon fanfics soon as well, if I find the time. will be about Oikawa I guess. It is quite the irony that all members of the Oikawa "family" died in the end - Arukenimon, Mummymon, BlackWargreymon and Yukio... because somehow, they are all a family. Yukion the grandfather of Blackwargreymon, and Mummymon and Arukenimon Blacki's parents... and I like that Ironay somehow. Because all of the Oikawas has something within them that tortured them. Yukio for example. He suffered the most I guess, and Arukeni for sure as well, because she wouldn't enjoy inflicting pain on Mummy if she wasn't tortured or torn apart deep within her herself. Mummy suffers because his love is not returned. And Blacki because he searches for a place in the world that belongs to him.
somehow, this inspires me alot recently.

About Veemon trying to impress Gatomon yeah, that's true but in a honest opinion I felt that it was more like following Davis, I mean Veemon knew very well that digimon couldn't choose what they will digivolve to and yet he accepted Davis' plan to digivolve to an angel digimon to compite with TK and Patamon.
Actually, the interest of Veemon for Gatomon wasn't well handled, I mean during the first 21 episodes we didn't had any idea he was interested in her and then out of no where that gets revealed on episode 22, unlike Davis that from the very start we knew he liked Kari xD
Then after episode 22 we didn't saw anything of Veemon still wanting to impress Gatomon anymore, while Davis still got teased by Yolei and Cody (and by Veemon too) when he said for them to search for Gatomon's tail ring (when Sylphimon appears for the first time).
Though Patamon also hinted PataGato on the original lines of episode 7 of 02, when Davis learns from Patamon that Gatomon digivolves to Angewomon and he said "Angemon and Angewomon?" Patamon very happy said "Yes, we're perfect for each other right Takeru?" of course it was to blow up Davis' lid but who says it didn't had a second meaning too? XD
About why I like PataGato it is more because of their chemistry, I don't like to go with the angels thing or the crests, is kinda dull, but they at least had a great interaction that even Veemon himself admitted they were pretty close ^^
Thing that is natural considering that both are three years and bit more older than Veemon since that was the second adventure for Patamon and Gatomon ^^
