My bust measurement is longer than my hip measurement, so I am considering using 1/4 of my bust measurement instead of 1/4 of my hip measurement to ensure everything fits properly. Can you think of any reasons this would not work out?

How the sleeve fits in clothes? I don't know if I understand it very well... Thank you!

This is useful to me since it gives me general measurements for an average body size, and when I applied my measurement, it started to make sense. Thank you so much for uploading this! \(^0^)/

Genial muy explicativo.
Por cierto que medidas es la parte de Front con linea discontinua? no la de 9.5cm si no la que cae.Β

Can you apply the same principle on a haori too, but just shorter and with straight strips everywhere?
Thank you for uploading ^^

Do you know how many yards of fabric this takes?

humm.. it will depend on your measurements o.o
and actually this pattern have a few mistakes, so itΒ΄s up to you if you want to take the risk and use it as reference XD

I noticed a missing length on the sleeve and was wondering what it was. I see the 33cm on top but nothing more to say specificall how long it is.

there is no sleeve extension in kimono or yukata (unlined kimono)

somehow after a lot of googleing this is the only pattern that makes a little since to me... is there some web site you know of that will help a beginer with this? i havent even figured out how to get my machine threaded yet.

really ?? I though there would be a lot more patterns that would make more sense than mine o.o
and for a website... not really, I spend a day reading forums and my sewing machine manual until it started to make more sense to me... I donΒ΄t really know where you could search specifically
what are you looking for by the way ???

kimnon/yukata plans with the shapes you need to cut out in a simple manner i think i have found a way.... i just have trouble thinking of things in 3 detentions and have never made clothing. and simple beginner stuff like what type of stitch patterns to use where

Great pattern but it is easier to sew a yukata/kimono just using strips ( and more traditional )
traditionally a kimono/yukata is made of six strips:
2 for the sleeves, two strips for the front and back and two strips for the "extensions" on the front

thanks for the tip !! honestly, this pattern was made when I was just starting to cosplay and now I know it has some mistakes... but hopefully, it can be a good start for other beginners until they have some more skills... and yes, maybe I should make a new pattern XD

It is a great pattern
I just thought it might be easier to sew in straight lines

>.< Japanese kimono fabric is sold in rolls, usually 13/14inches wide. The body is made up of four pieces, two long pieces for the body. The left is one piece that drapes from the front to back as is the right. There are "extenders" added to the front panels (technically one length cut in half diagonally). Then the sleeves are a piece each, the fabric scraps are used for the collar there should be a few tutorials online somewhere

i only found one usable tutorial for the 6-panel method, but i successfully made my kimono [albeit, my panels were too wide, and i will have to do some modifications to the main body, but for the whole costume being made in 2.5 days it came out quite well XD]
