A new design !! Yesterday, I bought velvet in a lovely blue teal color, perfect for a LotR dress. I want to make this, but I´m still deciding between the Requiem Dress (Arwen) or this dress, of my own design :S

I really like this design, it´s elvish and had some aspects of the Mirkwood clothe style but with colors of Rivendel. (Mirkwood clothes style in my point of view, had different pieces of cloth even in woman dresses, while in Rivendel, although males dressed in almost four or three layers or cloth, females wear just two layers (with out the capes or shawls))

A little story behind this dress and the LotR fandom:

"After the War on the North in which Nibenwën fought for her home, when the first great battle was won with help of Rivendel and Lothlorien, chases after her long time friend Legolas, with worries and news about his home.. accompanied by Elladan and Elrohir (and the Gray Company), they finally meet Legolas and the Fellowship, in Rohan, after their battle on Helm´s Deep. While the twins have been traveling officially with the Gray Company bringing news and Narsil for Aragorn, Nibenwën traveled with them to help Legolas and bring him a message from Mirkwood "do not stumble in the end, keep loyal to your task and keep your mind clear" an Advice given by his father about the news that the elven maid have bring to him: Mirkwood was in war and couldn´t send help for the final battle in the War of the Ring. She could not give Gimli new about the mountains, but she was sure they where in battle also.
She fought in the battle of the Pelennor Fields and attend with the elven comity Aragorn´s Coronation.
During her travels with the twins and their battles, she develop a strong friendship with them, specially with Elladan. After his sister wedding and they return to Rivendel, he start courting Nibenwën. With the blessing of Elrond Lord of Imladris and captain Círdan of Mirkwood (Nibenwën´s father, captain of the royal guard) they marry one year later.
Nibenwën, now the Lady of Rivendel (once Elrond leave his charge to his sons), dressed in the traditional colors of Imladris and her husband, but maintain some aspects of Mirkwood couture"
