Description Super happy with how this turned out Kieran with TK after he was finished being body clipped! The story is a mouth full! 1,590 words! I got a little carried away... Also some of the story wont italizie for some reason, just ignore it please... :L

With the holidays approaching, Ruth knew she would have to travel back to the US to visit her family. She loved visiting her family, eating food, and having fun, but all during the trip she would have a small heart ache about leaving her beloved horse back in England. She did not have much of a choice considering the price to ship a horse over seas and this would have to happen multiple times in a short amount of time. She did have some peace of mind in the fact that everyone at Crystal Creek would take good care of her TK.

A few days before Ruth would be leaving for her first holiday trip to visit the states, she stood in front of TK's stall. It was rather late and she was getting ready to head back to her flat when she passed by the stallion barn. She stopped for a moment, contemplating going to visit her precious stallion. The woman tapped her foot as she watched her frosted breath slip from her mouth as she puffed into the cold air of Great Britain before she took a step towards the barn. So she ended up in front of Total Knock Out's stall for a total of just about 15 minuets now. He was absently nibbling at remnants of hay from feeding time a few hours ago. Occasionally the Swedish Warmblood would pick up his soft gaze from the hay to look towards his owner and then once again lower his head to nibble at food bits. Once or twice he would not move his feet even if he was across the stall and stretch himself out as far as possible so that he may rub his velvety lips on the white sleeve of Ruth's Crystal Creek jacket.

completely absorbed in the stallion's simple activity, Ruth did not notice that her friend Kieran was also in the barn. Ruth and Kieran were close friends, and both shared a romantic interest for each other. However, both Ruth and Kieran were too nervous to inquire about a romantic relationship with each other, until now. Kieran was distracted all day, trying to figure out to ask Ruth to a date. He decided that dinner, just the two of them, would be appropriate. He decided just a bit too late though, and thought when Ruth left the office, she had left for her flat. He was going to visit Marcus, his horse, before heading home when he saw Ruth move into the stallion barn. So he followed her in hopes of inviting her to maybe get a bite to eat before they went home.

Kieran moved up next to Ruth and stood trying to see what she was looking at. It was nothing in particular, just TK browsing the shavings of his stall for something tasty to eat. He did not want to disturb her, but after he had been there for over 2 minuets he was curious if she had even noticed him. So he spoke. "Hey!" He said in a cheery voice.

"AHH!" Ruth screeched and jumped to the side, startled by the dark skinned man. "WHEN DID YOU GET HERE? WHAT WAS THAT FOR?" At Ruth's alarmed voice, TK immediately rushed to his stall gate and stuck his face into the isle. He shifted a bit uneasily on his front feet before seeing Kieran. TK rubbed his nose onto the man's jacket sleeve, identical to the one his owner was wearing.

"I didn't know... that you didn't know that I was standing here!" He said in his defense. "I'm sorry!" Ruth took a deep breath and laughed.

"It's alright, I need to go home anyways... I just-"

"Actually," He interrupted, "I was.. um just going to ask you if maybe, you would like to get a bite to eat with me...?" Ruth look rather blankly at Kieran for an amount of time she wouldn't have been able to pin point, but she figured that it was a stupid amount of time before she could really finish thinking her train of though was interrupted by Kieran’s voice. "Ruth are you alright?" He question, putting his hands into his jacket pockets.

"Huh.. Oh Yeah! I mean it's just really late though." She stalled with an obvious statement so she could have some more time to think. Out to dinner? With Kieran! She was ecstatic at the thought and didn't even want to think about how red her cheeks probably were right now. If he asked, she would explain it was the cold. Yes, that would be her excuse. But she didn't want to sound too excited. "Tell you what!" she smirked a bit, an idea popping into her head. "I'll go to dinner with you tonight, for a short bit."

"Really!" Kieran slipped an excited tone. "I mean..." He cleared his throat. "Really? Great!" He chuckled a bit nervously as TK bonked his nose into the man's familiar coat sleeve once more.

"But!" Ruth started. "You have to body clip my horse while I’m away in the US." She smiled a crooked half smile.

"You could have just asked me to do that.." The man raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah.. I know, but this more fun.." Ruth giggled a bit as she leaned over to pat TK's back as he went back to foraging for goodies hidden in the bedding of his stall. "Do we have a deal?" Kieran waited a moment and stroked at his uncharacteristically clean shaven face, pretending to think.

"Deal!" The two laughed and linked arms before moving towards the exit doors of the stallion barn, shutting the lights out. The lights might as well still been on though, because the two were both a glow.

Now came the time to hold up his end of the deal. Ruth had gone to dinner with them and it went swimmingly. They even had another date planned out for when she returned from the US! But he now had the task of body clipping Ruth's stallion, Total Knock Out. He was a rough houser, and Ruth often had to put him back into line. He responded so well to Ruth, but Kieran knew TK was a total mama's boy, and liked to scoff off anyone else who tried to do anything with him. He used his left hand to rub at his broad face as he stood in front of TK's stall.

He would have to use the horse vacuum to clean TK's coat before he clipped him, as it was too cold to bathe a horse this time of year. As usual, as soon as TK approached he rubbed his nose on the sleeve of Kieran’s coat. Ruth had been gone for a few days now, and TK was surprisingly holding pretty well considering if he doesn't see his owner for a day he usually looses it and tries to tear his stall door down.

"Alright T," he addressed the strawberry roan stallion that was scarcely acknowledging Kieran's presence at this point. Sighing, Kieran wandered down the hall to prepare everything necessary to body clip the stallion. He would need the vacuum, making tape and the clippers. Lucky for Kieran, there was a Set of Cross ties near TK’s stall, so he wouldn’t have to risk the stallion untying himself.

After getting everything together, he tied TK in the cross ties and began to vacuum. After he was good a clean so his coat would not clog up the clippers, Kieran put the white tape along the lines where he wanted to clip the coat so he wouldn’t mess up. That’s just what he needed, messing up his potential girl friend’s prized stallion’s body clip! So he double checked, and then double checked the double check of the tape lines before the clippers got anywhere near TK.

The beginning stroke was good, and the mixture of red and white hairs began to fall to the cold concrete ground of the isle of the stallion barn. As Kieran progressed, TK became more and more anxious. He would shuffle and slide his butt to one side of the isle. “No!” Kieran would scold and move to push TK back into his squared position.

The whole process was taking much longer than it should because of TK’s increasing antics. He would lip at Kieran when ever he could, shuffle away from the clippers, grab the cross ties in his mouth and yank them around to make noises and everything else under the sun he could do to delay the process. Kieran had to stop for about 5 minuets so that he wouldn’t snap his frustration increasing ten fold in a matter of minuets after TK slapped Kieran in the face with his tail. “There are no flies! REALLY..” After his break, he walked up to the stallion and snatched up his halter. A vacant stare glassed over TK’s eyes. The frustrated man shook the leather halter. “Listen here! I’m about to TKO you in a second you big lug!” Kieran starred intently at Total Knock Out, his face smushed into a deep squint in an attempt to burn an image of some sort into TK’s mind. In response, TK yawned and pawed in a bored manner.

Letting out a deep sigh, Kieran simple gave up on discipline the horse and just went on with clipping with a simple warning. “I’m telling your mother as soon as she comes back!”
