Okay, okay, I present to you week four of Design Days! I was very excited about posting this one as I was super happy with the results! Brightheart is one of my favourite side characters! And I did my best to get her design right, I’m still a bit unsure about how I wanted her scar to look but I think it still looks pretty good! I really loved drawing her and I have forgotten how much I do love drawing cats! They definitely are a whole lot simpler than dragons for sure but I still love drawing them both equally!
I would love to continue doing warriors Wednesday’s, and next weeks will be sandstorm! Who I’m also excited to draw since I really liked her and firestar relationship and thought they were very sweet together! The first arc is still one of my favourites! And I do think it is one of the better written books, though I have been rereading the broken code recently and I’ve really been wanting to draw its main protagonists and I hope to draw the newest arcs too! So I can be part of that and make my own art for it!

Now time for the ranty part of my post, for those who do care enough to listen, as for design days I will talk a bit about the actual art piece and then my opinion and thoughts on the chosen character. As this weeks was brightheart, I wanted to convey her sweetest as she needed justice. While reading the first arc, what happened to her really just shocked me, and how bluestar reacted made me really root for her, as well as I really loved the romance between her and cloudtail, it was sweet and wholesome and I really think the two of them go great together. I also really really liked that brightheart was still able to be a warrior and not forced to be a medicine cat. I’ve never been really sure if I would ship her and swiftpaw together, though the story of the two would be very sweet, I do like her and cloudtail a lot. And her name, brightheart suits her very well. Currently, I am working my way through listening the audiobooks for the first arc, but I do have yet to obtain the second book, and I may end up choosing to do some characters in future design days as to match that.
