I am proud to announce the official release of Ev0 for Windows Live Messenger. First and foremost I would like to thank all those who helped the skin get this far, whether it was directly or indirectly. I would also like to thank the people who volunteered to act as mirrors, thank you very much it is much appreciated.

Yep.. v4 isn't on the site anymore, and I refuse to update to 2011 due to security reasons that I don't want my last name being shown at all. Since Microsoft doesn't let anyone choose as it is, I was forced to change it in my profiles as well. Do you have the v4 still somewhere? I have it, but I can no longer get it working again due to a mess-up I did...

I found it!!! First uninstall Live Messenger, and than go to the official website and download the XP version (even if you use vista or 7) XP version IS 2009 version but with a different name

I still had a copy of 4.0.4 actually. I see 4.0.5 is released, but because the site deletes previous versions and such.. impossible to find that. Though, it was a pain trying to get working, which required me having to do some rearranging of files in order to get it functioning properly.

Hi, first of all i want to thank you for this great skin.
But i have a little problem, i installed it, but in my contact list, i cant see their image next to their nickname, like in your image, i only see green, read and gray dots.
What i need to do to show the contact images in the contact list.

I really liked it and currently using it, but the background of my contacts list turns black to the pink as it reaches to the end.. How can I fix it ? I want it to be pure black or another color...

Unfortunately its a technical limitation with Messenger 2009. Colorize works completely different than it did in 8.5. Basically now, Messenger has predefined images that are allowed to colorize to black, white or any gray color.
Any custom images that a skin add will use the this new kind of colorization where if its black, white or gray will default over to the first color in the color wheel (which is red). We aren't entirely sure why Microsoft did this and unfortunately there is currently no way to change this so you will just have to make do without it.

hello! i want to maximize the pictures of my friends on the contact list, but somehow i cant. i found the setting "contact list display pic size" and put it on large but nothing changed after restarting it. "you must be in detailed contact list mode to use this" is beneath it. what does that mean?

click the button in the contact list that has an icon of two arrows (one going up and one going down, its next to the add a new contact button where the contact search bar is).
Then you tick "show contacts' details" and this will enable the detailed contact list.

to use it you need at least Messenger Plus! Live 4.60 or it won't work.
You also need Windows Live Messenger 8.5.

Click the up and down arrows button where the contact search bar is, then tick the 4th option in that menu.
This will enable detailed mode and you can then use the display picture size selection feature.
