Happy Cinco de Mayo to all who celebrate it!I admittedly don't live around that much Mexican culture, so I had to do a little research for this one. I ultimately settled on modeling the mermaid after a Folklorico dancer, with the ruffles on her dress being the colors of the Mexican flag. As for her fish half, the colors of her tail and fins are inspired by the red drum, a fish found in the Gulf of Mexico.
