I wanted to express the idea to be in great passion to be something else and to do something unreal not as for real ordinary life. Tom likes interesting things and artifacts and they were alive in his hands. He likes to experience magic power and to discover, to taste its sides.

Something yellow melting and flowing from the goblet. Is it shining substance or maybe energy? Who knows? It’s just exists. This is the great power, some kind of magic. And it weaves through us. It’s all about feelings and reactions and how you can communicate with something really great and really bigger than your own existence.

If we stand more closely to people and ego theme, this work about vanity of course (and you can see how arrogant tilt of the Tom’s head is) and about armor you can create, and about wings which can carry you through strange dark trails.

People near Tom are just blurring and disorderly ranks of shadows. People and Tom are separated from each other. He walks alone and finds his own pleasure and pain.

Tom can play with or without human rules. He is very good at both. Tom is sophisticated, very clever and cunning man and he can understand human desires but he doesn’t want to be closer for anybody, he feels danger from others and likes to wound, to kill and to use people, to extract a favor for himself. People anyway feel something frightening from this beautiful and attractive person.

I use shades of violet and green – these colors have cold and desire inside oneself like magic have. And there is light in the hall. It illuminates everyone around Tom. It doesn’t matter what they are thinking about it.
